We are a support group for local families of children with diabetes.

The group was formed in the mid seventies – it’s main function then was to provide help and guidance to parents with newly diagnosed children.

In those days Diabetes was relatively quite rare,
But over last ten years the number of children in the local area diagnosed has doubled.
Over 20 were diagnosed last year.

This site has been set up to share information across the local diabetes community. The Network serves a population of 500,000 and works in partnership with health professionals, voluntary organisations,people with diabetes and their carers to improve the delivery of services for people with diabetes.
